Diagrams
Visual maps of Electronic Reporting
A curated collection of diagrams used across ER Zeppelin articles. Each diagram represents a core concept, architectural pattern, or common pitfall in Electronic Reporting for D365 Finance & Operations.
Foundations
Core diagrams that define the mental model: what ER is, where it sits, and how the pipeline works.
ER Big Picture — The Pipeline
A high-level map of Electronic Reporting as a data transformation pipeline, including two distinct mapping layers: Model Mapping and Format Mapping.
Tip: Use this diagram as the reference point for every ER discussion (performance, localization, governance).
Electronic Reporting Screens
Most important Electronic Reporting forms and views, used during design & maintenance tasks.
ER Configurations - main tree
The central hub of Electronic Reporting where all configurations are managed. This screen provides access to the complete configuration hierarchy, allowing you to browse Formats, Model Mappings, Data Models, and supporting components. It is typically the starting point for importing, creating, versioning, and maintaining ER assets.
Tip: When troubleshooting an ER solution, start here. The configuration tree reveals component relationships, available versions, ownership, and publication status, making it the quickest way to understand how a solution is structured.
